01Context

An Extraordinary World of Art

New Art Museum Singapore is the local home of Whitestone, presenting contemporary and modern art through exhibitions, programs, and shows. Its invitation is to be led out of the bustle of the city into an extraordinary world of art.

The site had to carry that prestige and quiet drama while guiding visitors clearly to current exhibitions and how to visit.

02Challenge

Prestige, Made Navigable

An art institution's site must feel refined and editorial, yet stay easy to navigate. Visitors arrive for different reasons: to see what is on, to plan a visit, or to explore programs.

The work balanced atmosphere with utility, letting the art lead without losing the practical paths.

03Approach

Exhibitions First

A minimal, typographic, image-forward system puts the exhibitions first.

Cluttered Layouts

Competing elements that dull the art.

Editorial Space

Generous whitespace that lets work breathe.

Hidden Exhibitions

Hard to tell what is currently on.

Exhibition-Forward

Current shows surfaced immediately.

Generic Museum

A template that could be anywhere.

Refined Identity

A restrained, gallery-grade aesthetic.

04Experience

Curiosity to Visit

The site moves visitors from curiosity to a planned visit.
